Revelstoke Cat Ski Companies

A world Of Powder Awaits

Cat Skiing in Revelstoke offers a rare combination of enormous snowfall and varied mountain terrain. The Selkirk and Monashee ranges that surround the town create consistent storms and abundant powder conditions that produce deep, light snow; exactly what you're looking for! Unlike crowded resort slopes, Revelstoke’s cat terrain offers long, uninterrupted descents and fresh lines, so a typical day will result in multiple runs of untracked snow and true "first tracks" that feel both adventurous and rewarding!

Snowcats can access alpine bowls, steep faces, tight glades, and tree-filled chutes. This allows guides to choose lines that match the group’s ability and the day's snowpack. That variety means skiers and riders experience everything from playful, sheltered pockets of knee-deep powder to heart-pounding steeps with big vertical. Operators can pivot during the day to chase sheltered aspects or wind-loaded zones with the best snow, a flexibility that resorts with fixed lifts simply can’t match.

The guided, small-group format of cat skiing in Revelstoke enhances safety, learning, and camaraderie. Professional guides assess snowpack, select the safest lines, and teach route-finding and powder technique, while small groups allow more personalized coaching and a relaxed pace between runs.

Let's explore the cat ski companies that call Revelstoke home!

Mustang Powder Cat Skiing

Welcome to Mustang Powder Cat Skiing. Quite simply, the Northern Monashee Mountains northwest of Revelstoke, British Columbia, are arguably the best place on the planet for quantity and quality of snow. Mustang normally gets significantly more snow than any of its competitors due to its location on the Western edge of the Monashees....the storms hit us first!

When it is snowing lots in southern British Columbia all operations have great powder skiing. However, it is during the dry spells when Mustang’s monstrous amount of terrain (especially north aspect terrain) will still provide good untracked powder skiing.

Some cat skiing operations have 10-20 km of snow road adjacent to a ski hill. Mustang has exactly 443 km of snow road! Visualize how much terrain that accesses?

K3 Cat Ski

Welcome to K3 Cat Ski! Our tenure is in excess of 33,000 acres and this winter the area we will be skiing and snowboarding is on a mountain known locally as K3. We ski and snowboard the entire mountain and the varied terrain provides an excellent mix of runs. Many of the runs are treed with a nice pitch, but we do have wide open alpine areas where you can enjoy long cruising runs. As well, you can experience great skiing in the South Park burn and when stability is good we have some exceptional steep tree skiing on slopes up to 50 degrees!

Our runs average 1500 vertical feet and range from 1200 to 3000 vertical feet. Most of our runs are high up on the mountain, ending at around the 5000 foot elevation so we generally have good snow conditions all winter. Our highest elevation is over 7400 feet and the lowest point is around 4000 feet. Also, more than half of our runs are North and East aspect and this helps ensure good snow in all weather conditions.

We are located in the Anstey range of the Monashee Mountains and so enjoy some of the best snow there is. We also get a lot of snow, averaging around 50 feet each winter.
