The locations of our lodges give you the best access to the best snow, period. Nothing else compares. 60 years ago, a group of adventurous skiers strapped a car’s ski rack to the skids of a small Bell 'bubble' helicopter using bungee cords and flew to a Rocky Mountain glacier with visions of skiing untouched, exclusive powder.

Anyone who has spent time at CMH Heli-Ski will tell you it’s an escape from everyday life. It’s a place where people shed their work titles, their social status, and their at-home perspectives. At our lodges, everyone — guests, guides, pilots and staff — is united equally by a desire for outdoor adventure.  

Our guests make their powder pilgrimage from around the world, from all professions and walks of life. Yet, they are all connected by at least one thing — a love of skiing and riding — and often much more. Over the decades, many friends for life first meet in a CMH helicopter. Chalk it up to a casual, friendly atmosphere, where you can’t tell the flannel-shirted tech billionaire from the small-town ski hill manager who’s saved up for the trip of a lifetime (and who cares about all that, anyway?). 

No one’s background matters when we return from a day of skiing and riding to sit together in the lodge sharing stories of the day. A seemingly complex collection of human experiences settles into something uncomplicated. People unearth the best version of themselves. 

All CMH’s 11 destinations are in British Columbia, Canada. On the western side of the great swash of the Rocky Mountain Trench, running closely parallel with the Canadian Rockies, is a lesser-known collection of peaks and ranges called the Columbia Mountains.

CMH’s heli-ski lodges are perfectly peppered along its subranges—the Purcell, Monashee, Selkirk, and Cariboo Mountains. Older than the Rockies by a few hundred million years, comparable to them in height, and fully equal in majesty, the geography of these ranges equates to an unparalleled and steady supply of deep, light, powder snow that simply isn’t found anywhere else.

We have 3 million exclusive acres of incredible terrain for you to ski and ride across our 11 unique destinations. What in the Canadian-loving H-E-double-hockey-sticks is an acre? Let’s just put it this way: 3 million acres is bigger than all North American ski areas combined. It’s 20x larger than all the chairlift skiing on the continent. No, that’s not a typo. It’s a whole lot o' terrain to explore, and it’s all yours to do so. 

If you're planning a trip through CMH Heli-Ski and need a shuttle from Kelowna to Revelstoke upon your arrival at the Kelowna Airport, there are 2 options avaialable.  Private shuttles to Revelstoke are available 24 hours a day with luxury SUV's and Vans.  Public Revelstoke Shuttles from Kelowna are also available several times daily.
