Our story begins in the heart of Italy, Rome, where the warmth of shared meals and the vibrant energy of piazzas ignited a passion for bringing a taste of Italy elsewhere. With a dream of replicating that feeling in beautiful Kelowna, Roma Nord Bistrò was born.
Inspired by the timeless traditions of Roman cuisine and the rich tapestry of Italian flavors, we offer a culinary escape to Italy without ever leaving the Okanagan Valley. The magic behind Roma Nord Bistrò comes from Angela and Danilo, a couple who are as passionate about Italian food as they are about each other. Don’t be fooled by Danilo’s jokes about Angela being the boss – they’re a true team!
Danilo comes from a family of butchers back in Rome, so he knows a thing or two about quality ingredients. He’s also a whiz with numbers and keeps the whole operation running smoothly. Angela, on the other hand, is a total boss in the kitchen! After working at a famous Roman restaurant, she went on to study culinary arts and even has a degree in chemistry. Talk about a recipe for success!
They both landed in Kelowna in 2016, with a shared dream of sharing their Italian heritage and love of food. Roma Nord Bistrò became their way of bringing a little piece of Italy to the Okanagan Valley. They want everyone to feel welcome, like they’re part of the family. Think of it as your Italian home away from home!
Danilo loves a good bold red wine, but don’t let that fool you. He’s a huge Italian wine buff and can help you find the perfect pairing for any dish on the menu. Together, Angela and Danilo are a powerhouse couple, bringing their unique skills and infectious enthusiasm to create a truly special experience at Roma Nord Bistrò.
